Relocation-Repatriation
For repatriation, the personal property ( House holds goods and vehicles ) can enter custom duty free at the final destination.
Person who changes residence leaving to EUROPE must have had legal residence abroad for at least 12 months.
The period of time that may introduce in Europe the goods for return is 12 months from the date of establishment of residence, as appropriate, in most countries in Europe. We recomend the client to check with local autorities in Europe the legal and custom laws for the country of final destination.
For relocation the client will need to prepare a complete packing list with the goods what will be shiped.The packing list togheter with the ocean freight documentation prepared by CargoRomania will be presented to the custom authorities at the final destination for custom clearance and free custom duties.
Before arriving container at final destination , the client may need to prepare local legal documentation for clarifying the status of repatriation.
Personal vehicle can enter the country duty free, provided that the cars have no commercial purpose.
Check with local authorities in Europe the emission and safety requirements for the import of vehicles.
You can drive with Canadian or U.S. numbers until they expire registering then you will have to register the car in the country where you are. To drive you have to have valid insurance for your car. The canadian insurance is valid for driving until expire, but is not covering the damages in case of accident for your vehicle once is exported to Europe.
In Europe you will need local insurance and Green Card insurance for traveling across Europe.
